A Little About us
Hanging Live Trio
Instrumental music, poetic following by oriental grooves . The grooves and the melodies take their own way to be expressed in different space and time threw the Instruments.
Groovy rhythmically or poetically playful, inspired by Eastern / Western folk music and the freedom of jazz, we improvise across different scales, similar to the ragas in Indian music.
At the center of the trio is the Israeli drummer
Hagay Sofer (Basel, IL) with the instrument "Hang" and "Asachan", a melodious percussion instrument made of metal, which gives the trio the typical sound and the musical direction.
Didine Stauffer from Aarau (CH) enriches the groove with a wide range of colors on the Persian Dombak, the Indian tablas and the oriental frame drum.
Tassilo Dellers (Basel, CH) finally garnished the whole thing with folk-jazzy to far-eastern melodic lines on various Bansuri flutes, the soprano saxophone and the bass clarinet.
We like to have our ''SONGS'' as to experience music from different aspects and gathering inspiration in order to express our being at this moment. Making music to work on and to connect the synapses to a higher state of consciousness, representing this moment what is now. Finding where you are, act and react, cause and effect, a chain that creates a melody, a conversation between the musicians and the listeners toward their emotional faces and understanding and rising with inner peace.
Our first CD "First Take" is a musical experience played and inspired from the Balkan, from the orient with a touch of Jazz and free Ragas .

Balkan Dream is an experience of Balkan melodies, Indian Classical Rhythms and new sounds of Handpan.
